University Property Richmond 

We  own and manage apartment properties in the vicinity of VCU and VCU Medical Center  in Richmond, with over a hundred and twenty five different apartments available.  Our apartment buildings provide a residential experience and offer amenities typical of full service buildings.  Our Classic RVA Living buildings offer a townhouse urban RVA experience that embraces the history of downtown Richmond.

University Property FAQ's

  • No! Our housing is open to any qualified applicants within the Richmond area. We welcome residents from the wider university community, as well as young professonials who might like to live close to the vibrant neighborhoods around RVA.

  • Yes, we allow a maximum of 2 pets per household. There is a one-time pet fee of $300, and pet rent is $25/month per pet. Pets must be disclosed to management, otherwise you are subject to an unauthorized pet fee. 

  • Our leases do not require evidence of insurance; however, we strongly encourage our residents to obtain a policy for their rental home. 

  • After your tour, our leasing team will send you a link for you to access an application! If you would like to apply without seeing the home, you can press the apply now button. 

  • You will submit any and all work orders in your tenant portal! Please include as much detail, and any photos, that you are able. Maintenance is on an emergency basis only after 5pm and on weekends. 

  • No, we do not allow subleasing. If you sign a lease with us, you are responsible for the entire duration of your lease. 

  • This depends on the property! Off-street parking is available at Theater Row, Cornish Brewery, Marshall Adams, Leo’s Path, and Flag Factory on a first come first serve basis. However, ask us about this for any property you are interested in.

  •  If you choose at any point not to renew your lease for the following year, your home is subject to touring by our staff to help market and lease the home for the following year. Management will always give you 24-hour notice prior to entry. 

  • No, all of our leases are joint and several. Meaning every tenant is equally as responsible as the other, and everyone is responsible for the entire home. You are not only held liable for your room or what you deem to be your portion of the rent.
